Gelavej

Gelavej (16 February 1083 – 30 January 1107) was a wife of Radwan of Aleppo.

Biography[]

Gelavej was born on 16 February 1083 to a family of Miaphysite Christian Kurds, and she married Radwan of Aleppo. In 1107 she was captured at the fall of Hama to the Kingdom of Jerusalem, and King Eustache of Jerusalem had her executed. He believed that she was a Muslim, when, in fact, she was a Christian.
