Gauanes Chromides (460-429 BC) was a Spartan soldier who participated in Nautios Echelaosides' abortive helot rebellion in Laconia in 429 BC during the Peloponnesian War. He and several other mutinous Spartan soldiers were assassinated by the mercenary Kassandra during her infiltration of the Gorani Marble Quarry.
