Gauanes

Gauanes was, according to Herodotus, one of the ancestors of the Macedonians. A descendant of Temerus, he was the older brother of Aeropas and Perdiccas, and they were exiled from Argos in the late 8th century BC and forced to settle in Macedonia. When his brother Perdiccas founded the kingdom of Macedon in 700 BC, Gauanes became ruler of Elimeia.
