Gastone Tomelli (1877 - 1929) was an Italian blackshirt and colonel in Libya.
Biography[]
Tomelli was born in Italy in 1877. He joined the army in 1887 and fought against the Austrians at the Alps during World War I. In 1929, Tomelli was a colonel under tthe orders of Rodolfo Graziani, Tomelli commited atrocities such as arson or rape against Lybian natives. When he was chasing Omar al-Mukhtar in the desert, he was ambused asnd killed by his partisans.
