Garmiskar (died 1117 BC) was a Philistine warrior and the chief wrestler of the Saran of Gaza's court during the 12th century BC. In 1137 BC, the Saran - not believing Delilah's tale that Samson had killed a lion with his bare hands - had Garmiskar attempt to break the troublemaking Danite's bones in front of him. However, Samson easily defeated the 400-pound Garmiskar, amazing the Saran. Twenty years later, Garmiskar took part in the torture of Samson at the Temple of Dagon, only to be killed by falling masonry when Samson used the last of his strength to bring down the temple on the 3,000 Philistines assembled there.
