Garcia Jimenez of Pamplona (837-882) was a co-king of Pamplona during the late 9th century AD.

Biography[]

Garcia Jimenez was born in 837 to the Basque Catholic Jimenez family, which ruled over the kingdom of Navarre (then known as Pamplona). Garcia Jimenez became a co-king of Pamplona during the late 9th century AD, and he fathered Sancho I of Pamplona. From Garcia Iniguez's death in 870 until his death in battle with the Moors at Aybarin 882, Garcia Jimenez served as regent for Fortun Garces, who had been imprisoned by the Arabs.
