Gaptooth Ridge

Gaptooth Ridge is a constituent region of eastern Arizona, located along the border with New Mexico to the east and Mexico to the south. Gaptooth Ridge was so-called because of its large population of miners, many of whom had gaps in their teeth due to poor hygiene. It was largely deserted, with the mining camp at Gaptooth Breach being taken over by outlaws and the town of Tumbleweed being abandoned by 1911 due to the growth of Armadillo. The region was overrun by outlaws between 1907 and 1914 as a result of its lack of civilized areas.
