Galloway is a region in southwestern Scotland located north of the Solway Firth and east of the Irish Sea. Dumfries is the largest and most important city in Galloway, which is a mostly agricultural region. The region is also home to the Galloway Forest Park, a large park that occupies almost all of western Galloway.
