The GAMA Private Hospital was a state-of-the-art hospital located on the slopes of Mount Yotei in the mountains of Hokkaido, Japan. GAMA is known for catering to the rich and powerful with its extremely high costs, advanced facilities, and KAI; an AI that oversees everything in the hospital. The hospital utilizes experimental procedures and practices that aren't authorized by the Japanese government, mainly due to their danger and the lack of knowledge around them. GAMA is also involved in the illegal organ trade and sources its transplants illicitly; for example, former ICA agent Erich Soders' replacement heart was taken from a young homeless boy in Brazil which nearly caught Interpol's eye.
GAMA was funded by Providence, a shadow government subtly controlling the world's affairs. It was directed by Akira Nakamura, a Providence operative and the creator of KAI. The hospital has been accused of hiring unethical staff, including doctors Pavel Frydel and Akane Akenawa who were accused of transplanting a liver infected with EHV, the patient dying shortly after. On 13 February 2020, Agent 47 was hired to assassinate several people who were staff or patients of the GAMA Hospital, with his primary targets being Erich Soders and Providence herald Yuki Yamazaki. He entered the facility as his alias Tobias Rieper, where he accomplished these assassinations with little problem, exiting the facility by skyline shortly after.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, GAMA had several departments dedicated to researching the virus, assisting in creating a vaccine with multiple companies.
