Biography[]

Fusu was the eldest son of Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi of Qin, and he was his father's heir apparent for several years. He had a son, Ziying, who would later go on to serve as emperor.

Upon Qin Shi Huangdi's death in 211 BC, his premier Li Si and his chief eunuch Zhao Gao grew worried that Fusu would promote their rival Meng Tian, so they forged an edict which forced Fusu to commit suicide.

They then installed his younger brother Qin Er Shi as their puppet emperor.
