The Fulton Fish Market shootout occurred on an evening in the spring of 2008 at the Fulton Fish Market of Manhattan, New York City, when Patrick McReary and Niko Bellic ambushed the Jaoming Triad as they received a shipment of cloned medications at the harbor. The two criminals gunned down several Chinese gangsters from the top of the warehouse after all of the goods were loaded onto a truck, and the two men stole the Triads' delivery truck after killing all of the gangsters. They delivered the shipment to Ray Boccino, the Pegorino crime family capo who had tipped them off about the delivery, and Boccino rewarded the two criminals with cash after they delivered the medications; he said that many housewives would be happy that they received their cloned meds. After the shootout, city councilwoman Doris Fung asked for authorities to find the killers rather than ask who the victims were working for, as she was accused of being a Triad supporter herself. The news also pointed out the corruption of several stevedores, as many Dockworkers' Union members were arrested in 2007 for corruption.
