Fulgencio de Bitoria (1592-11 September 1640) was a Spanish Navy captain from Cumana, Venezuela who sailed the Caribbean Sea during the 1640s. He captained the 10-gun trade galleon Marinero Liso on its voyage from Cumana to San Juan, Puerto Rico in the autumn of 1640, but his ship was attacked by the English pirate Ossian Trewhella off Isla Saona. De Bitoria was killed in a swordfight with Trewhella when he boarded the Spanish ship.
