Fujifusa Asakura

Fujifusa Asakura (1499-February 1547) was a Japanese samurai in the service of the Tsuchimochi clan of Kyushu during the Sengoku period. He commanded the last Tsuchimochi army in its resistance against the Shimazu clan at the Battle of Hiji, and he narrowly escaped with the remnants of his army. He then led his followers in a peasant rebellion against the Shimazu after their capture of Kitsuki, and Tomokata Tanegashima and his army proceeded to crush the rebels.
