The Frontera raid occurred in 2019 when an American special forces team under Major Anthony Perryman raided the village of Frontera in Bolivia's Caimanes department for intelligence on the Santa Blanca Cartel.
After helping the Rainbow team and Ghost Recon legend Scott Mitchell with side operations, Major Perryman and his team headed to the village of Frontera to gather information on Patricio "El Cerebro" Mendez Valle's drug trafficking operation. There, they engaged in open shootouts with cartel sicarios in their apartments and at a church repurposed for the worship of Santa Muerte. After killing over a dozen narcos, Perryman photographed intelligence indicating that Mendez was buying loads of military-grade electronics from foreign sources for his new sub design.
