Frenchman's Gulch was an American frontier town of the Wild West, located in northern Arizona. It was founded by French immigrants, and its heritage was commemorated by the town sign's depiction of Napoleon I and the town's name. It was a lively gambling town, and, in 1873, Buster Scruggs killed Surly Joe and his brother Jimmy Townley before himself being killed in a duel by The Kid.
