The 67th Regiment in 1806

The French 67th Regiment of Militia was a regiment of militia of the French Army, raised in 1806 in Breslau, Silesia (present-day Poland). It was led by Hippolyte Cailloux during the Napoleonic Wars.

History[]

The 67th Regiment of Militia was raised in 1806 in Breslau, Silesia, on the orders of Marshal Joachim Murat. With 1,200 troops, the militia regiment was of average size, and it was commanded by Colonel Hippolyte Cailloux. Its first battle was the Battle of Glogau, where they took part in the routing of a Prussian army under Bogislav Friedrich Emanuel. Afterwards, it either took part in the Poland-Russia campaigns of 1806-1812 or was a part of the garrison of Breslau.
