
Frederick Whittlesey (12 June 1799-19 September 1851) was a member of the US House of Representatives (AM-NY 27) from 4 March 1831 to 3 March 1833 (succeeding Timothy Childs and preceding Edward Howell) and from NY-28 from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835 (succeeding Grattan H. Wheeler and preceding Childs). Born in New Preston, Connecticut, he practiced law in Cooperstown and Rochester, New York before serving in Congress and as a judge.
