Frederick Stone

Frederick Stone (7 February 1820-17 October 1899) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-MD 5) from 4 March 1867 to 3 March 1871, succeeding Benjamin Gwinn Harris and preceding William Matthews Merrick.

Biography[]

Frederick Stone was born in Charles County, Maryland in 1820, the grandson of Michael J. Stone. He became a lawyer in Port Tobacco in 1841, and he served in the House of Delegates from 1864 to 1865, in the US House of Representatives from 1867 to 1871, and as an appeals judge from 1881 to 1890. He died in 1899.
