Frasier Winslow Crane (7 March 1953-) was an American psychiatrist from Seattle, Washington known for his work in Boston in the 1980s and early 1990s, as well as for his famous radio show, The Frasier Crane Show, which ran from 1993 to 2004.
Biography[]
Frasier was born on 7 March 1953 in Seattle to parents Hester and Martin Crane. In 1957, his brother Niles Crane was born, and the family continued to live in Seattle until during the 1980s. Frasier moved to Boston to work as a psychiatrist, having divorced his wife Nanette Guzman back in Seattle. During his time in Boston, he would frequent the small bar, Cheers. In 1984, he married Diane Chambers, but she left him in Italy for Sam Malone. In 1985, he began dating an associate of his named Lilith Sternin; the two were at first enemies years previous but they later fell in love. They got married in 1988 and had a son named Fredrick in 1989. In 1992, they separated, and their divorce was final in 1993.
Radio Show in Seattle (1993-2004)[]
After his divorce, Frasier moved back to Seattle where his father and brother were. His father wasn't doing great since being shot in the hip on a police patrol so Frasier let him move in with him. He hired Daphne Moon as his house keeper and began doing his own radio show where he helped people with his past in psychology. He would continue this show until his final broadcast on 13 May 2004.
