Franklin Alioto was the owner of the Hotel Alioto in Little Italy, New York City.
Biography[]
Franklin Alioto was born in New York City, New York to a family of Italian descent, and he was the younger brother of Emilio Alioto and the son of Don Luciano Alioto. Franklin and Emilio were sent to the East Coast by their father, and they established the Hotel Alioto in Little Italy with the Stracci crime family's money. Vito Corleone was aware of this plot, and he had Luca Brasi assassinate Don Alioto. In December 1945, Corleone crime family enforcer Aldo Trapani forced the Aliotos to pay protection to the Corleones, taking over their hotel (which was used for the Five Families War peace summit and the ceremonial appointment of Aldo Trapani as Don of New York).
