Frankie the Mick (died 6 May 1951) was an Irish-American associate of the Moretti crime family. He was killed by Clemente family men in 1951 after having been captured and tortured on the orders of capo Luca Gurino.

Biography[]

Frankie was born to an Irish-American family in New York City, New York. He worked for the Moretti crime family and Don Carlo Falcone, and along with soldato Antonio Balsamo, they were assigned to watch over and look after Falcone's accountant Harvey Epstein. In May 1951, looking to make a move on Falcone's drug operation, Clemente crime family Don Alberto Clemente ordered his capo Luca Gurino to kidnap Frankie, Balsamo and Epstein and hold them captive at Clemente's slaughterhouse to be tortured for information. As they were being severely beaten, Frankie succumbed to his injuries and died, while Balsamo and Epstein were subsequently rescued by Moretti family recruit Vito Scaletta.
