Frank Veliano (died 2013) was an Italian-American mafia boss and the don of the Veliano crime family of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Veliano was a common thief before joining the Montello crime family, becoming Johnny Montello's right-hand man before drunkenly failing to drive a wounded Montello to the hospital after an assassination attempt. After Montello's death, Veliano was expelled from the Montello family by Johnny's wife Vera Montello, and he formed his own crime syndicate. Veliano's family soon became the most powerful and influential in Las Vegas, and he came to control most of Las Vegas' businesses, its municipal government, and a portion of the LVPD. In 2013, he endorsed Reverend Winston Goodman's mayoral campaign, and he nurtured Jason Malone as an MMA fighter. However, Malone's failure to take a dive in the fourth round led Veliano to attempt to kill Malone, who was rescued by Vera Montello's accountant Karen Olsen. Veliano waged war against Malone and the Montellos, and, while he was able to kidnap Malone and force him to capture Karen (who was to be held hostage until Vera Montello gave herself up), Malone rescued Karen, and Montello blew herself up to kill several of Veliano's pursuing henchmen. Malone and Olsen sabotaged Veliano's control by revealing incriminating evidence against Goodman, and the coerced reverend was forced to expose Veliano's crimes, resulting in the loss of most of his properties. Veliano was confronted by Malone on a helipad before he could helicopter out of Las Vegas, and he was impaled on a sculpture after falling from the roof.
