Frank Power

Frank Power (died September 1884) was the British consul in Khartoum and a correspondent for The Times during the Mahdist War. He was one of the few European survivors of the Battle of Shaykan in 1883, but was killed during the Siege of Khartoum in 1884 when his steamer ran aground during an escape attempt, and the party was ambushed by Mahdists.
