
Frank "Frankie the Wop" Manzo (2 February 1925 – 23 October 2012) was a soldato in the Lucchese crime family of New York City.
Biography[]
Frank Manzo was born in New York City, New York in 1925 to an Italian family, and he worked in Paul Cicero's crew of the Lucchese crime family. He served as a union delegate in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and controlled Local 295 at the JFK International Airport in Queens. In 1972, he was ransomed for $150,000 after being taken hostage by the Genovese crime family employee James McBratney. In 1985, Manzo and Cicero were convicted of extortion, and Manzo was expelled from his union. He was released from prison in 1994, and he died in his sleep in 2012.
