Frank H. Hurd

Frank Hunt Hurd (25 December 1840-10 July 1896) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-OH 6) from 4 March 1875 to 3 March 1877 (succeeding Isaac R. Sherwood and preceding Jacob Dolson Cox), from OH-7 from 4 March 1879 to 3 March 1881 (succeeding Henry L. Dickey and preceding John P. Leedom), and from OH-10 from 4 March 1883 to 3 March 1885 (succeeding John B. Rice and preceding Jacob Romeis).

Biography[]

Frank Hunt Hurd was born in Moutn Vernon, Ohio in 1840, the nephew of US Senator Daniel Sheldon Norton. He became prosecuting attorney of Knox County in 1863, served in the state senate in 1866, and served as city solicitor of Toledo from 1871 to 1873 before serving in the US House of Representatives from 1875 to 1877, 1879 to 1881, and 1883 to 1885. He died in 1896.
