Frank Corrigan (born 31 May 1945) was police chief of the NYPD from 1978 until his disappearance in 2006. He was secretly involved in New York City's criminal underworld and was the mastermind behind the kidnapping and murder of a Colombian drug lord Rafael Martinez, framing getaway driver Terry Kid for murder.

In October 2006, Corrigan attempted to escape New York in his helicopter but was gunned down by TK who intended to kill him. Maria Cortez convinced TK to let her take Corrigan in her SUV, where his fate is left unknown. He was likely tortured and killed by the Colombians for the murder of their boss.

Biography[]

Frank Corrigan was born in Manhattan, New York City on May 31st 1945 to a family of Irish descent. He later resided in New Jersey and became a police officer in the late 1960s. In 1978, Corrigan worked with a gang of criminals to capture Rafael Martinez. Corrigan shot and killed Martinez, framing Terry Kid for murder, which led to TK being sentenced to 28 years in Sing Sing Correctional Facility. Soon after, Corrigan was promoted to chief of police and had intended to cover up any other loose ends tying him to organized crime.
