Bernie Blue (died 1980) was a member of Anthony Spilotro's "Hole in the Wall Gang". During the 1970s, Spilotro hired him into his burglary crew in Las Vegas, as it was said that Blue could bypass any alarm for him. Blue took part in numerous robberies, and he got a cut of the action. In 1980, the Las Vegas police attempted to arrest him at his home, and he left his car with a wrapped hero sandwich in his hand. The police mistook the sandwich for a gun, as it was wrapped in aluminum foil, and they shot him several times, killing him. Upon closer inspection, they realized that it was a mistake, and that his loud mouth had led to his doom.
