
Francis Ball Fay (12 June 1793-6 October 1876) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-MA 2) from 13 December 1852 to 3 March 1853, succeeding Robert Rantoul Jr. and preceding Samuel L. Crocker. Born in Southborough, he served as a colonel in the state militia, as postmaster of Southborough from 1817 to 1832, in the state house from 1830 to 1831, as a judge from Chelsea from 1834 to 1836 and in 1840, in the state senate from 1843 to 1845, as Mayor of Chelsea in 1857, in Congress, and in the state senate in 1868.
