
Francesco Grazioli (18 December 1869-20 February 1951) was a general of Italy and the Chief-of-Staff of the Royal Italian Army in the Interwar Years.
Biography[]
Francesco Grazioli was born on 18 December 1869 in Rome, Italy, and he entered a military college at the age of 14. He graduated from the Modena Military Academy and terminated his military studies at the Civitavecchia School of War in 1899, serving in the Royal Italian Army in the Italo-Turkish War in 1911-1912 and commanded a corps during the Battle of Caporetto in 1917 during World War I. In 1923, Grazioli was made a General, and in 1928 he was elected to the Senato del Regno d'Italia on 10 May 1929. On 21 October 1937 he retired from the army due to stress, and he died in Florence, Italy on 20 February 1951.
