The Folk Nation is an alliance of American street gangs from Chicago, Illinois, founded in 1978. The gang was formed in prison, and the alliance consisted of the Black Disciples, the Black Gangster Disciples, Gangster Disciples, La Raza, Latin Disciples, Latin Eagles, Maniac Latin Disciples, Simon City Royals, Spanish Cobras, and Spanish Gangster Disciples. The alliance was rivals with the People Nation.
