Folcheorht of Pontkirk

Folcheorht of Pontkirk (837-878) was a Northumbrian Anglo-Saxon man who participated in Bertwald's 878 AD rebellion against the Danish King Guthred of Northymbre. He and several other rebels were slain in battle with the Vikings at the Battle of Theawleas, near present-day Bishop Auckland.
