Florian Petrovic Cravic (August 5, 1978-), also known as Bernie Florence Crane, was a Serbian emigrant to the United States who worked as a lifestyle coach in New York City. In 2008, the Russian Mafia attempted to blackmail Deputy Mayor Bryce Dawkins over his homosexual extramarital affairs with Cravic.
Biography[]
Florian Petrovic Cravic was born on August 5, 1978, in the Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia to a family of Serbian Orthodox Christians of Bosnian descent. He worked at an abattoir, telling others of his dreams of becoming a wrestler and shepherd, though was "in the closet" with his homosexuality. He became a child soldier in the army of the Republika Srpska during the Bosnian War alongside Niko Bellic, Darko Brevic, and twelve other local Serbians. Their fifteen-man squad was ambushed by the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and only Bellic, Brevic, and Cravic survived the attack, leading to Cravic and Bellic both suspecting Brevic of being the traitor; Bellic initially believed Cravic to be a suspect.
Life in America[]
Cravic moved to New York City in the United States after the war, as he wanted to come out as gay in an accepting country. Cravic, calling himself "Bernie Crane" in order to move from his tragic past completely, was involved in the gay nightclub scene in New York, and he became a lifestyle coach. In 2003, he was arrested for soliciting prostitution, and he was arrested in 2004 for possession of ecstasy. Cravic would later have an affair with Deputy Mayor Bryce Dawkins, who was a "family values" politician in the eyes of everyone else.
In 2008, Bellic came to New York City to search for Cravic and Brevic, and he located Cravic with the help of American Mafia boss Ray Boccino. Bellic kicked down Cravic's door and entered his apartment, confronting his former friend, and Cravic revealed that Brevic was the traitor, not him. Bellic and Cravic would occasionally meet due to their old friendship, and Bellic killed a militant homophobe named John Ruhr in Central Park, Russian Mafia blackmailer Yevgeniy I. Bendlin, and several Russian hitmen. Cravic and Bellic would part as friends, and Cravic gave Dawkins' car to Bellic as a gift. Unknown to either of them, the car was previously bugged by Lost MC vice president Johnny Klebitz under congressman Thomas Stubbs' orders, ultimately rendering any blackmailing evidence on Dawkins to be impossible to retrieve.
