The Flor de Oro fuel convoy ambush occurred in 2019 when American special forces ambushed a Santa Blanca Cartel fuel convoy in rural Flor de Oro department, Bolivia.
While en route to kidnap General Juan Pablo Baro Rebolledo's daughter Erendira Buendia, Major Anthony Perryman and his Ghost Recon squad flew over a Santa Blanca fuel convoy. Intent on helping the Kataris 26 rebels, the Americans ambushed the convoy by immobilizing the fuel truck with helicopter minigun fire and slaughtering several sicarios. After taking care of the narcos, the Americans planted a tracker on the fuel truck to allow the rebels to pick it up at a later time. The Americans proceeded to make their escape after killing several responding La Unidad soldiers.
