The Fletcher Mob in 1971
The Fletcher Mob was a British firm based in London, England. The family was led by the brothers Gerald and Sid Fletcher, and it was very powerful, having an alliance with the Newcastle Mob of Cyril Kinnear. The firm employed Jack Carter as an enforcer, and, in 1971, Carter went on a rampage in Newcastle upon Tyne as he attempted to search for his brother Frank Carter's killers. The Fletchers sent Peter the Dutchman and Con McCarty to force him to return to London rather than cause trouble with the Newcastle Mob, and Gerald Fletcher later sent the two men to kill Carter after Eric Paice and Peter informed Gerald that Carter was planning to run away to South America with Gerald's girlfriend, Anna. The attempt failed, and Peter was killed. Carter was killed by a Newcastle hitman after getting revenge on all of his brother's killers.
