Fiora Rossi (1141-1174) was a Milanese princess.
Biography[]
Rossi was born to the illustrious House of Rossi in the Duchy of Milan, but was charmless and already 33 without a husband. She attempted to strong-arm England into paying Milan 174 florins many times, bargaining for the acquisition of the money or else Milan would attack. Her threats eventually tired England, who sent assassin Christopher Gryffin to kill her.
In 1174, Rossi was caught while sleeping. Gryffin snuck into her room and slipped a poisonous snake into her bed, and it bit her, triggering immense pain and a staggering cry before she died of the poison.
