Finds Buffalo was born in Hunkpapa on the Great Plains, and he became a war chief of the Sioux tribe. Finds Buffalo established several villages across the plains and in northern Texas, and he forged alliances with the Comanche, Cheyenne, and Apache tribes against Spain during the Sioux wars against the Spanish. Finds Buffalo was involved in dozens of battles with the Spanish in the late 18th century, waging guerrilla warfare against new Spanish settlements to halt their expansion.
