Filippus of Volterra (died 1494) was the Podesta of Volterra during the late 15th century. In 1494, his town was caught in the path of Charles VIII of France's invading army during the Italian War of 1494-98, and Filippus decided to offer resistance to the French invaders. In the ensuing siege, the city was heavily bombarded, and Filippus was slain when the French troops assaulted the city.
