Packer Holden (1861-1898) was an American security guard who lived in Colorado during the 1890s. In 1898, he and Shad Cays guarded Philip Redcross as he rode through Blackbone Forest on a buggy, and they attempted to chase down the Arizona Kid when Arizona stole the buggy from Redcross. Rather than recapture the buggy, Cays contented himself with shooting off its left wheel just before Arizona could take it into Strawberry, ruining it and preventing Arizona from receiving a reward. Arizona tried to chase him down, but he was only able to kill Holden with a rifle shot to the back, while Cays escaped past Owanjila.
