Inghimasi, or "shock troops", are a type of fighters employed by Islamist militant groups during armed insurgencies. Inghimasi are sent to infiltrate enemy positions, and they are usually heavy-armed and mobile; Jabhat Fateh al-Sham had a unit of fighters mounted on motorcycles. In some occasions, such as under the Islamic State, inghimasis are used as suicide bombers, such as during the battle of Manbij in 2016.
