Fiete Neumann

Fiete Neumann (died 1938) was a German pilot who served in the Imperial German Air Force during World War I. Neuman attained ace status during the war, but, during the Interwar period, he became a drunkard who could never live up to his past glories. In 1938, he boarded the zeppelin D-138 in Berlin, and the Gestapo agent Piet Bornemann enlisted Neumann's help in piloting a biplane in pursuit of Indiana Jones and Henry Jones Sr., who had escaped the zeppelin on another plane. The drunken Neumann forgot to start his plane's motor before decoupling the biplane from the zeppelin, causing him and the Gestapo agent to fall to their deaths.
