Fetlework Gebregziabher (1960-) was deputy chairwoman of the Tigrayan People's Liberation Front from 2020.
Biography[]
Fetlework Gebregziabher was born in 1960, and she joined the TPLF in 1979 during the Ethiopian Civil War. After graduating from London School of Economics, she served on the TPLF Central Committee in 2006, 2010, and 2015. In 2017, she became deputy chair of the TPLF, and she served as Minister of Trade and Industry before Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed replaced her in 2020 in retribution for the TPLF's refusal to join his Prosperity Party. As deputy chair of the TPLF, she was Debretsion Gebremichael's chief lieutenant during the Tigray War.
