Fernando Herrera Avila

Fernando Herrera Avila (born 6 August 1968) was a PAN deputy from Aguascalientes from 2000 to 2003 and a Senator from 2012 to 2018.

Biography[]

Fernando Herrera Avila was born in Tabasco, Mexico in 1968, and he worked as an accountant before becoming an active PAN member in 1988. He served as an Aguascalientes alderman from 1992 to 1995, in the local congress from 1995 to 1998, as Secretary of Social Development of Aguascalientes from 1999 to 2000, as a federal deputy from 2000 to 2003, as a national councilor from 2001 to 2004, and in the Senate from 2012 to 2018. In 2015, he served as his party's coordinator in the Senate.
