Fernando Avram Peres (1934-2005) was a Spanish-Jewish refugee from Madrid who came to live in France and later Israel. The son of Jose Avram Ricolet, he lost his father and grandfather during the Spanish Civil War and World War II and was taken in by a French family during the Holocaust. After the war, Avram worked as a bookseller in Paris and made aliyah to Israel in 1962. There, he served in the IDF and had a son, Francois Avram Legardeur. He died in Tel Aviv in 2005.
