
Felix Gonzalez Canto (born 23 August 1968) was a Mexican PRI deputy from 2003 to 2004, Governor of Quintana Roo from 5 April 2005 to 4 April 2011 (succeeding Joaquin Hendricks Diaz and preceding Roberto Borge Angulo), and a PRI Senator from 2012 to 2018.
Biography[]
Felix Gonzalez Canto was born in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico in 1968, and he became a PRI politician. In 2005, he was elected Governor of Quintana Roo after being chosen as Joaquin Hendricks Diaz's handpicked successor, and he won a contentious election against the PRD. The state's debt increased tenfold during his six-year governorship, and he left office in 2011. He went on to serve in the Senate from 2012 to 2018.
