Fedya Shulyayev (21 November 1900-25 June 1938) was a Soviet Union politician.
Biography[]
Fedya Shulyayev was born on 21 November 1900 in Bershad, Russian Empire (in present-day Vinnitsya Oblast, Ukraine). Shulyayev joined the Red Army during the Russian Civil War and became a member of the political branch of the Transcaucasian Front in the Interwar Years. Shulyayev helped in the transformation of previously-Sunni Muslim areas into atheist and communist areas. However, he was arrested in June 1938 during the Great Purge due to his memories of the times before Joseph Stalin, and he was executed by the NKVD on 25 June 1938.
