
Federico Franco (24 July 1962-) was President of Paraguay from 22 June 2012 to 15 August 2013, succeeding Fernando Lugo and preceding Horacio Cartes.
Biography[]
Federico Franco was born in Asuncion, Paraguay in 1962, and he worked as a surgeon before entering politics with the Authentic Radical Liberal Party. He served as Governor of the Central Department from 2003 to 2008 and as Fernando Lugo's Vice President from 2008 to 2012, when he assumed office as President on Lugo's impeachment. He completed Lugo's mandate in 2013.
