The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, also known as the Bosniak-Croat Federation, is one of two political entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the other being the Republika Srpska. With its capital at Sarajevo, the federation is located in the central and western regions of Bosnia, where Muslim Bosniaks and Catholic Croats make up the majority of the population. In 2013, Bosnia and Herzegovina had a population of 2,371,603 people, with 70.4% being Bosniaks, 22.44% Croats, 2.55% Serbs, and 3.6% other ethnic groups.
