Federal Peronism is a conservative faction of the Peronist Justicialist Party which was formed in 2010 by opponents of the left-wing populist Front for Victory faction of Nestor Kirchner's supporters. It was founded by the more traditionalist and conservative Peronists from the provinces, who were opposed to the socialist "metropolitan Peronism" movement after the 1980s, and its governors grew in number and influence under President Carlos Menem, a conservative Peronist. In 2019, the movement fell apart due to divisions between supporters of the Front for Victory and the ruling Cambiemos coalition.
