Fazlullah Busri (1962-November 2001) was an Afghan Mujahideen fighter.
Biography[]
Busri was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, and was originally a cattle farmer. However, when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to protect the new communist regime there, Busri joined the Mujahideen and was one of the many volunteers that joined up with the Afghans in Khost in 1986. He took part in the Battle of Khost in September, assisting in the repulse of an assault on a wartorn village not far from the Mujahideen camp in the mountains.
After the war, Busri fought for the Taliban, who had a strong support base in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Busri was killed in a gun battle with Northern Alliance troops near Khost in November 2001 during the Afghan Civil War/Afghanistan War.
