Fazal Haq Mujahid

Fazal Haq Mujahid (1954-31 May 1997) was a prominent commander of the Mujahideen during the Soviet-Afghan War.

Biography[]

Mujahid was born in Rodat Nangarhar in Afghanistan, and graduated from Kabul University. In the 1980s he became a prominent commander of the rebel Mujahideen during the Soviet-Afghan War, fighting the Soviet Union. In the aftermath of the war he became acting Interior Minister of Afghanistan's new government, but was assassinated in 1997.
